Cecilia & Cassidy decided to get hitched in Tuscany while enjoying their everyday life in Perth, Australia – on the other side of the world! So we knew from the very start that those two were adventure-lovers. They were looking for a wedding photographer in Livorno (Leghorn): and here we come to the rescue! We did our best to help them, organizing Skype sessions at funny times and solving all the doubts that a long distance organization entangles.
This destination wedding was the chance for Cecilia to celebrate with her family and her Italian friends, back in her beloved hometown, Livorno.
Cassidy and his family truly enjoyed the beauty of the Tuscan coast – such a romantic place even during winter – and all the wines and beers and ponci alla Livornese (I cannot translate this, you just have to come here and drink it!) that Italy has to offer.
This was an emotional time for everyone involved! In a winter day that smelled of rain but did not deliver – those beautiful gray skies, though! – the spouses didn’t even suffer the cold.
It all started in the family homes for the bride and groom. Then we followed them along to the beautiful Livorno’s Townhall for the civil wedding. After that we went for a walk in the beautiful center of Livorno (we couldn’t stay away from Terrazza Mascagni, with that impressive black and white tiled floor right in front of the sea), and finally to Marina di Pisa for the big party, at cute Bistrot Mary. The Bistrot was a nice surprise: on the seafront, with delicious local food and wine, we enjoyed the stormy weather, the refreshments and the dancing.
This was our last wedding for 2015: we’re so happy we ended the year with such a high note, in the company of two beautiful families coming together to celebrate love.
